First things first, what is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique that helps to relieve emotional and physical blockages from the body. It is also referred to as energy healing. I use these words interchangeably. Reiki promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and clears the Chakras (the 7 main energy centers in the body, check out our blog!) An energy healer or practitioner moves their hands over the clients Chakras and body in order to move stuck energy out which produces a balanced, rejuvenated, and relaxed feeling. 

Reiki is not affiliated with any religion. It is a simple and natural method of holistic healing and self-improvement that is safe for babies, teenagers, adults, even plants and animals.

Massage is used for pain relief, stress relief, increase range of motion, increase circulation, insomnia, migraines etc. Massage has a wide range of benefits to the body overall. If you have never had a massage, you should try it out! Massage has many different facets, we specialize in therapeutic, Swedish massage. Your massage can be catered to a generalized relaxation or a specific area of need. Just let the Massage Therapist know! (Booking by appt. only)

What is Cartomancy?

Tarot is a structured systemic tool using a total of 78 cards in a deck. Some Tarot decks do vary and may have more than the original tarot system. Originally tarot was a game card deck, much like Uno or Solitaire, in the 1430’s Italy. Tarot was not used as a “fortune telling” deck until later in the 1700’s, until getting a massive facelift in 1909 by A.E. Waite and artist Pamela Coleman Smith. They gave birth to what you see today. There are many different types of tarot decks now. (Dummett, 2013)

The Thoth deck is a variation of the Tarot deck, but was created by the Mystic Aleister Crowley and Lady Frieda Harris. Crowley is known as the father of modern Thelema and was apart of the Golden Dawn Coven.

Oracle are themed decks by the author. They have a broad range of concepts for meditation, magick, or inspiration. It is whatever the author of the oracle deck sets out to do. They are not disimilar to Tarot or other forms of divinatory card tools. (Nast, 2020)
